Narayaneeyam

My mother's name is Shanbagavalli Natarajan. She learnt Narayaneeyam in Kolkata properly from a Guru and then taught many over many years in Kolkata. She even acquired the name "Narayaneeyam Mami" from her students and became popular by that name. She has often mentioned that it was the continuous recitation of Narayaneeyam that helped her tide over the difficulties that we had faced in our life. When we moved to Cochin in 1992, she continued teaching many there and continued to be addressed as "Narayaneeyam Mami".Very recently at the age of 72, she recorded her renditions at a professional studio in Chennai. Her energy and commitment never ceases to amaze me.I have uploaded them in You Tube and provided the audio links below.
